The PHEV RAV4 Prime also uses the 2.5-liter engine paired with two larger electric motors. This powertrain rates at 302 horsepower and 288 lb-ft of torque and up to 94 mpge. Honda put a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with dual overhead cams and 16 valves with dual variable-valve timing control technology in the gas-powered trims. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission and has a powertrain that produces 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque and gets up to 34 mpg.

The hybrid CR-V gets a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine with an electronic continuously variable transmission. As a result, this powertrain makes 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque and gets up to 43 mpg. CR-V hybrid and gas models come with AWD as an option. In addition, you have four drive modes: normal, sport, econ, and snow.
