Toyota is not just an exemplary automaker that manufactures popular cars like the 2015 Toyota Camry and 2015 Toyota Prius, it's also a company with a social mission. Toyota believes promoting a diverse workplace benefits everybody. Their efforts has once again been highlighted.  DiversityInc named Toyota one of its Top 50 Companies for Diversity® in 2015, marking the company’s ninth appearance on the list since 2006. Toyota is the only automaker in the Top 50. In addition, Toyota moved up two spots over 2014, thanks to strong corporate diversity and inclusion initiatives like cross-cultural mentoring programs and employee resource groups.

According to Simon Nagata, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, Toyota Motor North America (TMNA), Toyota has a strong set of “principles of respect for people and continuous improvement create a culture of collaboration and inclusion that gives a voice to every team member and embraces diversity.”  It is a huge honor to be recognized by DiversityInc. Now in its sixteenth year, the DiversityInc list recognizes businesses for their ongoing commitments to diversity in four primary areas: Talent Pipeline, Equitable Talent Development, CEO/Leadership Commitment, and Supplier Diversity.
